Quality Materials, Made in USA

Probes are manufactured of copper for fast heat transmission, then plated for corrosion resistance. Complies with U.S. Environmental Protenction Agency monitoring regulations. Available in probe length of 2.5 cm or 5.6 cm. Consult manufacturer's instructions for best probe length for your stove.

Condar’s superior USA-manufactured three-layer probe: high-temp formula steel core for long life, clad with pure copper for fast conductivity, chrome-plated to resist corrosion.

Probe end may be placed up to 1 cm away from the combustor, but should not touch it. Black thermometer dial is 4 cm diameter, with easy-to-read silver graphics.

Condar Catalytic Probe Thermometers are designed for insertion into the stove itself, so the end of the probe is approximately 1 cm behind the catalytic combustor. Please follow instructions provided by your stove manufacturer for installation and usage.

After installing your catalytic probe thermometer, engage the combustor, and watch the temperature readings for a couple of minutes. When the combustor is properly activated, the temperature will steadily rise from approximately 260°C up to 815°C, depending on the design of your stove and the placement of the probe.

Guidelines for Temperature Readings
Consult your stove manufacturer's manual for precise temperature recommendations. See below for approximate guidelines, dependent upon proper installation.

260°C to 540°C: Engage combustor

540°C to 815°C: Best operating temperature

Above 815°C: Too hot

A perfect add-on when purchasing a new SteelCat combustor.
